MANILA--Right after the confirmation of fixtures with Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan next week, the Philippines received a huge boost to their preparations for the Suzuki Cup as Bahrain agreed to play in a friendly, the Philippine Football Federation announced.
It will be the fourth time in two years that the Azkals will play their Middle Eastern counterparts, as they lost their lone friendly and split their respective World Cup Qualifiers against them last year.
Bahrain and the Philippines are set to play in the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bocaue, Bulacan on Oct. 7, with kick-off times and ticket details to be announced on a later date.
