MANILA-- The Azkals were okay, after all.

Despite being thrashed in their own turf yet again last night in Rizal Memorial Stadium, members of the team and manager Thomas Dooley dismissed any concerns about the implications that might bring with those back-to-back defeats by Bahrain and North Korea.

The former USA skipper was in relatively light mood despite another 3-1 setback, this time to the East Asians when was asked by the footballing press last night.

"That's what we wanted, we wanted to play against strong teams and we can see what kind of mistakes we do." Dooley said to Dugout Philippines.

He further added that there is no cause of concern for the Azkals after slumping to back-to-back home defeats.

"No, at all. If the we'll be in the Suzuki Cup tomorrow, it will be a concern for them," the American added, added that they will have six weeks left to prepare for the ASEAN Championship.

Iain Ramsay expressed his disappointment the way the match went against them, but the free agent is pulling all the stops to make himself available for Southeast Asia's showpiece tournament.

"I definitely want to make sure that I will be available regardless of where to decide to play, whether in Asia or in Australia. I've seen highlights before with the Azkals, that's the big reason why I wanna be part of the team," Ramsay said.

Stephan Schröck echoed their statements, adding that there will be a lot of improvement. "We're not at 100%, maybe 60-70%. We have five weeks to prepare for the Suzuki Cup," the Ceres dynamo said.

Goalkeeper Roland Muller, who have played his first match in any level since coming to Ceres three months ago, told the media that he is in good shape for this match despite leaking in three goals.

"I'm happy for myself, but I'm unlucky today," he quoted.

The Azkals will face Kyrgyzstan in their final friendly on November 9, ten days before the 11th ASEAN Championship kicks off in Bocaue.
