MAKATI--All Twisted Minds Philippines needed was a dominating 1-2 punch of Alice and Angela to score its first-ever win in MPL Philippines.
Twisted Minds PH finally broke through the win column after five straight defeats after edging AP Bren, 2-1, on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom.
Michael "MP The King" Endino pulled off the Alice surprise already by Game 2, but with Salic "Hadjizy" Imam picking Angela at the middle lane in Game 3, Twisted Minds PH dominated the decider of the best-of-three tie to hold off another gallant fight from AP Bren.
Also helping the cause for Twisted Minds PH was the respect ban on Pharsa after Jerry "Chovskrt" Nicol put on a show in Game 2 with the said hero to force Game 3.
Twisted Minds PH moved up to seventh place with a score of 1-5, while AP Bren remained winless with a score of 0-4.
