MANILA—The Northern Lights remain untouchable.
Aurora Gaming extended their flawless run to five in MPL-PH Season 15 after surviving TNC Pro Team, 2-1, in Week 3 of the regular season on Sunday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.
The first big clash of Game 1 erupted just 2:30 into the match, as RORA traded the turtle for three TNC members.
Capitalizing on the numbers advantage, RORA dictated the pace with aggressive clashes, strategic minion waves, and relentless turret pressure.
With a dominant 10K gold lead and a 9-1 turret advantage, RORA closed out the game in 13:39, with Renejay Bacarse leading the charge at 0/4/9 KDA.
Game 2 saw a chaotic exchange as both teams traded kills and struggled for control.
Lance "LanceCy" Cunanan’s Faramis delivered a precise Nether Realm during the first Lord fight, keeping TNC alive while securing the objective.
TNC kept their momentum going, claiming the first luminous lord just before the 15-minute mark.
At 18 minutes, Renejay’s Chip executed a crucial buy-and-sell play, forcing a 4-for-2 collapse against TNC.
However, Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera’s Chou turned the tide at 19 minutes, catching Renejay with Way of the Dragon, securing the Lord, and spearheading a game-winning push.
Aurora bounced back in Game 3, controlling both micro and macro play from start to finish.
With a 7,000-gold lead, RORA dominated TNC, limiting them to just two turrets and two kills before sealing the win at 17:50.
Now 5-0, Aurora gears up for a high-stakes battle against fellow undefeated squad Team Liquid Philippines next week, while TNC, now at 3-3, also prepares to face TLPH.
