MAKATI--Exactly a year after its last appearance in MPL Philippines, Renejay Bacarse brought back Estes as Aurora's surprise package to snap Team Liquid Philippines' streak with a 2-1 win on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom.
In the showdown between the remaining two teams without a loss entering the day, Aurora completed the reverse sweep in mass healing action as Bacarse brought in Estes.
With Estes almost everywhere, that is, Bacarse assisting on 15 of Aurora's 16 kills, the team pummeled Liquid PH to take the deciding game.
Aurora moved up to 6-0 with a chance to complete the first round sweep on Sunday night against Team Falcons Philippines.
Liquid PH, on the other hand, ended the first round with a 6-1 record, missing out on sweeping the first set of matches.
