MAKATI--Onic Philippines began a winning run in MPL Philippines Season 15 after dealing Smart Omega a 2-0 beating on Saturday night at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom.
Game 1 saw a quick Onic PH domination that saw the team scoring an 11-1 lead in kills en route to an 11-minute finish.
Smart Omega prolonged Game 2 a bit, but Onic PH's offensive remained too tough to beat.
Onic PH completed the sweep in slightly over 15 minutes.
Onic PH has won back-to-back matches after a surprise 1-3 start, bringing its record to .500 after six matches and moving up to fourth place.
Smart Omega, on the other hand, ended its first-round campaign at 1-6, momentarily falling to last place.
