MANILA—The Barangay finally breaks through.

Smart Omega secured their first win of MPL-PH Season 15 after a hard-fought 2-0 victory against Twisted Minds Philippines on Friday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

Twisted Minds PH, under Coach Mark "Eson" Gerardo, experimented with unconventional hero picks, placing Salic "Hadjizy" Imam on a mid-lane Chou in Game 1.

Coach Lembot of Omega took full advantage, drafting Joy for Andrew "Andoryuuu" Flora and Ruby for Czedick "SuperYoshi" Romero, leading to a dominant 11-2 victory in under 10 minutes.

SuperYoshi, a standout from MDL-PH, showcased his Ruby prowess with a 0/1/8 KDA in the opening match.

In Game 2, Twisted Minds doubled down on unique strategies, opting for an Angela roam, Chou mid, and Alice jungle setup.

A well-executed team fight at the five-minute mark saw Michael "MPTheKing" Endino’s Alice and Jomarie "Escalera" Delos Santos’ Angela turn a 3-for-1 exchange in Twisted Minds’ favor.

Omega, however, seized momentum before the first Lord, capitalizing on Andoryuuu’s shutdown of MPTheKing to secure a 4-for-2 trade.

Hadjizy responded with a clutch Way of the Dragon on Jayson "UK1R" Alupit’s Pharsa, swinging the advantage back to Twisted Minds in a 4-for-none clash.

Despite facing a late-game Lord push, Omega held firm with a stellar defense, turning the tides at the 17-minute mark.

SuperYoshi, barely surviving with a sliver of HP, spearheaded a decisive counterattack that ended the match at 20:42, earning MVP honors with a 0/6/18 KDA on Badang.

Now at 1-3, Omega prepares for a tough test against undefeated Aurora Gaming, while winless Twisted Minds (0-5) braces for ONIC Philippines, the reigning world champions.
